Lauren Evans, OTD, OTR

Lauren is a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist. She graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in health science studies and continued her higher education degree at Baylor, receiving her Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy. Throughout her time in graduate school, Lauren gained experience in the pediatric home health setting, serving children and families in their homes, ABA clinics, and elementary schools. Lauren also has experience in outpatient orthopedic hand therapy, providing upper extremity interventions, splinting, kinesiotaping, and a range of physical agent modalities from ages 7- adulthood. Lauren received the Servant Leadership award from Baylor University for her doctoral capstone presentation. During her doctoral capstone, Lauren designed and implemented an online training curriculum for a local church Mother’s Day Out program on classroom strategies for teachers who have students with learning disabilities and sensory needs. 

Lauren has advanced training in the Zones of Regulation program and Integrated Listening Systems. Lauren is passionate about helping kids reach their full potential through guided play and fun! She has special interests in treating children who have difficulties related to sensory processing, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Coordination Disorder, Developmental Delay, visual motor/visual perception, and handwriting. When she is not working, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, going on walks, hanging out with friends, and cheering on the Baylor Bears!
